Destranetwork storage

Destra Network offers decentralized file storage through a wallet connection, purchased capacity and drag-and-drop uploads. For a first upload, choose storage capacity that suits the files you intend to send.

Capacity and the distributed network

The storage plan sets the capacity purchased, while uploading transfers the files to the storage network. Destra lists smart contracts, Destra DNS, Destra ENS and a distributed network within its storage offering. Destra’s storage documentation describes an IPFS-inspired model in which a unique hash identifies content. Any network node holding a copy can serve the content using that hash.

The wider Destra infrastructure also includes IPFS and Destra Nodes.

Prepare the first upload in order

  1. Connect your wallet to the Destra storage application.
  2. Purchase a storage plan with enough capacity for the files you intend to upload.
  3. Drag and drop those files into the application for transfer to Destra Storage Network.

Wallet connection and plan purchase are preparation stages; neither alone establishes that a file has reached storage. Destra’s three-step upload outline does not define a file-level completion signal. In the documented storage model, successful retrieval using the content hash demonstrates access to a stored copy at that time. It does not establish permanent availability.

Check capacity before purchasing a plan

Consider a hypothetical first session with a connected wallet and no storage plan purchased yet. The hypothetical file total is 137 MB, and the hypothetical candidate plan provides 117 MB using the same MB definition.

The nominal capacity shortfall is 137 - 117 = 20 MB . While those inputs remain unchanged, that candidate plan is too small for the planned files.

Pause before purchasing the plan and revise the storage amount or reduce the upload selection.
